This week we’ve been featured on a wonderful blog called Rules of a Lady, cool name huh?!
Rules of a Lady is a young, fashion forward lifestyle blog created by Italian blogger Silvia Cavagnini. She is big into fashion, lifestyle, interior design and infact anything beautiful and unusual and she contacted me recently about doing a collaboration with her. She looks for products that she really likes on websites such as Etsy (where she found me), and then she contacts companies about doing a feature on them. I just happened to be one of the lucky ones. She was particularly taken with my Coconut & Musk Soy candle and my RoseGold Reed Diffuser. A few weeks ago I sent her my very favourite soy candle Apple Blossom and Pear and my Luxury Grapefruit Bath Salts to review and she took a picture of it and left a review here:

The definition of Cool.
Recently, I was contacted by the co-founder of a new social e-commerce website called Framestr. He had seen some of my products on Ezebee (www.ezebee.com) and wanted me to join them and make my products available for sale on their site. The concept of Framestr is pretty simple: You upload your products (or there wizard can copy your information from another e-commerce site), and then you can use their site as a platform to encourage users to share and promote your products. If you make a sale as a result of their efforts, they (meaning the user) make a commission on the sale. Simples!
The beauty of it is that Framestr have no fees and YOU set the commission rate on each product, so everybody benefits. Genius or what?!
Apparently Oprah and VOGUE are both fans. I have signed up as I think it’s great and I really see it going global.
It’s a work in progress at the moment but you can see my store here: http://framestr.com/thesecretscentsociete
The Sunday Markets in Brick Lane Market have a wonderful collection of original, antique, handmade, vintage, wonderfully creative finds, a lot of which you won’t find anywhere else in London. Or why not commission a bespoke creation from a local independent artist/designer-maker? – Take a stroll down to the infamous Columbia Road flower market to pick up some beautiful, fragrant flowers? Or to the food market to taste some tasty food from faraway exotic climes?
I love Brick Lane Market for it’s ability to infuse the uber-cool, with originality and sophistication so effortlessly. The Secret Societe’ fuses art and science to create handmade fragrance, beauty and skincare products and we think that the Homegrown Market in particular, which showcases a collection from independent designer-makers in the UK, is the perfect place for us to begin our journey!
So, if your struggling to decide what to buy for your best friend, your Mum, your sister, your brother, your Dad, your husband (phew!), then come and see us at the HomeGrown Market this Sunday 20th October – we just might have the perfect gift!
The HomeGrown Market is situated in Elys Yard, which is on the corner of Hanbury Street and Brick Lane. Walk through UpMarket – another interesting market with a huge variety of food, lifestyle, accessories and fashion – and you will see the HomeGrown Market just up the small ramp. There is also a sitting down area if you need to rest your feet after a hard days shop!
We’ll be there from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.
