In less then 2 weeks time The Secret Scent Societe’ will be showcasing our gorgeous fragrant wares to the residents of North London at the Myddleton Road Summer Festival.
Myddleton Road Market is a fabulous local market, that recently won The Great British Market Award for Best Small Community Market.
Featuring a hand selected group of local business owners and designer/makers (I don’t actually live locally but my sister in law actually lives on Myddleton Road itself!), and including Arts and Crafts, Jewellery, Accessories, Clothes, Beauty and Food sellers, the market will also have live Music, Face Painting and even a Fun Fair for Children.
Following our successful event at the Charles Worthington salon a few weeks ago we are on form to spread a little perfumed joy to all of the people of Myddleton Road and beyond and we are looking forward to maybe meeting some of you there!
You can find the details of the festival below (spread the word!)
Also, our website will be going live very soon.
Yes! I’m going to Miami!
Just a few more days to go before I’m staying here:
The Betsey, South Beach
AND Sunbathing here:
Miami Beach (Oh What Joy)
The last time I was in Miami was about 6 years ago. Actually tell a lie, I was there last year but it was only for 2 days during the stopover for our Caribbean cruise so it doesn’t really count. In some respects Miami, and in particular South Beach reminds me a little bit of Playa D’en Bossa in Ibiza (which I love!), only better (Europeans do it better don’t you know;). The Philippe Starck and Lenny Kravitz (would you believe?) designed SLS hotel, where we’re going to be staying in Miami, even reminds me of a boutique version of the unique Ushuaia hotel in Ibiza, which hosts the best parties I have ever frequented. Like, ever! The music on the beach, the fun loving beach party vibe, the sun, the sea, the house culture, the shopping, the glamorous girls in skimpy bikini’s and fake boobage and the veiny and extremely shiny, gym obsessed men are all what makes Miami Miami. But despite this, I’m sure that a lot has changed since I last holidayed there and I’m really looking forward to checking it all out. And maybe the next time I go I’ll stay at the beautiful, elegant Betsey (which is most definitely in my sights). I will keep you informed!
Hasta La Proxima Vez (Until Next Time!)
LOVE this song. LOVE this group. Enjoy!
Moonchild – All the Joy:
This song just makes me wanna dance! I know that the lyrics are slightly derogatory to women but in the spirit of fun I’m ignoring what he’s saying (he is a little ruff round the edges afterall) and I’m going to go with how I’m feeling instead, which is great! The chorus goes a little something like this, lol: Oooooooooohh Hooh Hooh Hooh Hooh!, “She’s hearing Wedding Bells” Hoooooh Hooh! Eeeeeeee ee eeee, “She’s hearing Wedding Bells!” I know my version sounds pretty basic but I can assure you the song is very catchy.

BUT I really must tell you again how amazed I am that I’d never heard of this vision board thing before! Ever since I found out (only yesterday!) how to create one I have been making them like crazy! I think I’m seriously addicted 🙂
I also signed up to Polyvore (which I’d initially assumed was just a shopping site), and I created a collection, including my Reed Diffuser which you can see here: http://www.polyvore.com/rosegold/collection?id=4017934
Alas I haven’t quite worked out how to create and share a vision board created on Polyvore. When I do you’ll be the first to know!
Look see, at my creativityy! 🙂
