Pilfering in Barcelona

Pilfering in Barcelona

Is the title of my new short story. Since I was indeed Pilfered in Barcelona.

They took my brand new phone and my money and I was not best pleased I can assure you.

Should you have the desire to read my holiday tales I now have a selection of 11 would you believe?! My short (ish) stories are based on my experiences in the following places and they are as amusing as they are true:

1.  Trinidad & Tobago

2. Miami, USA

3. Lake Como, Italy

4. Cancun, Mexico

5. New York, USA

6. Las Vegas, USA

7. Santorini, Greece

8. Herefordshire, UK

9. Barcelona, Spain

10. Negril, Jamaica

11. Caribbean Cruise

What is my favourite story? – Well I guess it’s gotta be Trinidad and Tobago as it was the most surreal holiday of them all and will be familiar to a lot of women planning their big day (or someone else’s!).

I’m off to Croatia next week and I really am hoping (indeed praying!), that there will be no drama to be had and therefore I will have a pleasant time unworthy of note.

Before my recent holiday aboard the luxurious Celebrity Equinox, I never realised that there could be so much to do and experience, and I didn’t realise that you could have such a varied holiday onboard a ship! Cruising is traditionally something that the elderly do, and I won’t pretend that they weren’t there in there droves, but really, cruising is for everyone, because it offers a little bit of everything. Celebrity Equinox was impressive, not only in it’s design and stunning features but in the high level of service in all of the onboard facilities including Theatres, A Casino, A Shopping Centre selling everything from expensive jewellery to clothes and accessories, A Spa, A Gym, 10 Restaurants, A Library, A Basketball Court and even a Nightclub! Cruising is definitely becoming more popular, and appealing to younger people which is great.

I visited the Caribbean islands of: St Thomas, St Kitts, Barbados, Dominica, and St Maarten. Upon first glance perhaps these islands seemed quite similar in that they had white sands, a crystal clear blue sea and luscious foliage but infact character-wise they were very different. The island of St Thomas had the most beautiful beach I’d ever seen (Magan’s Bay), St Kitts wasn’t as beautiful as St Thomas but had something very special: These absolutely adorable monkeys called Green Vervet Monkeys and I was lucky enough to hold one. He was the cutest thing I’d ever seen!

Barbados was a beautiful, colourful, well developed island with lots of fancy restaurants, hotels and private yachts everywhere. Obviously a very popular destination!

St Maarten was gorgeous, and very interesting, with a Dutch and French Side to the island. There were a lot of stunning properties on the island. A classy place!

Aside from holding the baby vervey monkey, I also held a baby alligator, which felt like holding a handbag actually! and I went zip lining in the jungle in St Kitts, River Tubing in the rainforest in Dominica and for an Airboat ride in the Florida Everglades. So much fun!

I hope that you will consider going on a cruise, as there are lots of great cruise lines, offering different facilities and itinerary’s, going to destinations all over the world. You can go for an adventurous holiday to the Galapagas Islands, a sightseeing holiday to Alaska or a sun loving holiday to the Bahamas. It’s so varied you can’t fail to find a little of everything you love. My boyfriend and I were extremely impressed with Celebrity cruises and we hope to cruise with them again (perhaps to the Mediterraenean this time).

And a Happy New Year!

And a Happy New Year!

2014! – A whole new year! – have you made any resolutions yet?..

Resolutions for me are to cook more (I made a beautiful French onion soup last night!), keep up with my exercise regime, see my friends more and business wise I’d like to have my products stocked in at least 1 or 2 retail stores by the end of the year.

My Christmas was fabulous – my boyfriend and I spent it with his parents and brother and I was spoilt to within an inch of my life! check out all of my goodies! 🙂

Xmas Goodies

My boyfriend got the award for getting me the best combination of gifts ever with a dazzling array of jewellery, a gorgeous scarf, lingerie, a sexy photoshoot, front row tickets to the cirque de soleil show, perfume, a dress and a beautiful grey fox fur coat that I’ve had my eyes on (but couldn’t afford!). I even got a beautiful velvet riding hat from his parents as I’m taking up horseriding lessons this year.

After Christmas we went to my Mums for dinner with my family which was lovely. I bought my Mum a bracelet that I had engraved with words which made her cry. I was happy to have touched her with my words though my intention obviously wasn’t exactly to make her a shed tear! 🙂
We played my favourite board game Balderdash, which I lost – to my boyfriend naturally as he’s always winning these kinds of games. Hmpf!

I’m off on my holidays on Thursday, we’re going on a Caribbean cruise. It’ll be our first ever cruise and our first ever visit to most of the cruise destinations. We’ll be going to Dominica, St Maarten, St Thomas, St Kitts, Barbados and Florida. We are cruising with Celebrity Cruises and the ship looks amaaaazing and has everything and anything you could possibly wish for including a lawn club, spa, gym and swimming pools, a theatre, a glass blowing show, arts and crafts workshops, nightclubs, restaurants, a shopping centre and much much more!

I can’t wait to experience a little cruise style luxury and visit all of the beautiful west indian islands on my travels and I will surely update you on my findings upon my return!

Have you got any holidays planned this year? If so, where to? 🙂
