Vanilla, inci name Vanilla Planifolia, is found primarily in Mexico but can also be found in places like Madagascar, Indonesia and the southwestern Indian Ocean. Vanilla is a dark, resinous substance extracted from vanilla bean that is best known for it’s versatility in sweets, desserts, and perfume. In addition to being tasty it is also used as a remarkably versatile perfume ingredient.
